Effective July 22, 2026
The short version: Photo LookBack does not collect, store, or share any of your data. Everything the app does happens on your device.
Photo LookBack displays photos and videos from your device's photo library, with your permission. Your photos are never uploaded, copied, or transmitted anywhere by the app. You can limit which photos the app can see using iOS's limited photo access, and revoke access at any time in Settings.
To show where a photo was taken, the app sends the photo's location coordinates to Apple's Maps service (MapKit) to look up a nearby city or point-of-interest name. These requests go directly from your device to Apple and are handled under Apple's privacy policy; we never see or receive them. Resolved place names are cached only on your device.
Your preferences (such as display options and daily reminder time) are stored only on your device. Daily reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device; no notification data leaves it.
If a future version of the app changes any of the above, this policy will be updated here before that version is released.
